CURSES
I really can curse people. It’s just my luck that whenever I utter a curse at someone, something happens to that person.
One of this instances and coincidences that I can vividly remember was one day when a friend of mine and I were commuting, the jeepney driver charged us an extra peso for the fare and I cursed under my breath to my friend that karma hits him and, as soon as we reached our destination the clutch of his vehicle got jammed on the foot and so, he had to let all his passengers out. My friend snickered saying that karma was fast.
Another instance, I was with that same friend of mine and I was driving, a motorcycle swerved in front of us, I yelled at him that karma hits him and just as I uttered those words the motorcycle slid and crashed, luckily he didn’t hit anyone or any vehicles but the package he was carrying was spilled on the road and did I mention, the package was raw fish? Apparently he went to the wet market that morning and was on his way home.
I can enumerate a few more instances of that sort of thing happening but I’d like to state the most recent one, it happened to someone I hardly know. I didn’t like how he treated me to think I am higher in rank than him and I uttered under my breath a curse, I wasn’t expecting anything to happen but apparently that night, he rented a car and got involved in an accident, which was his fault. He’s currently in jail at the moment since; he doesn’t have any means of paying the damage he caused. Poor guy, it doesn’t have anything to do with me though.
But in some sick way, I find it comforting that the Universe seems to conspire Justice in my life.
