Thoughts Of Her
He smiles as he hears the soothing sound of the buttons on his keyboard being pressed and muses that he is finding pleasure on the conversation he is currently having with an old schoolmate.
He related to her the lady who has been constantly making his cheeks blush and during the course of their conversation she asked him this question. “How can you fall in love with the person, when you haven’t physically met?”
Good question he thought and his thoughts goes to the lady he fell in love with and received his answer from her; his answer to her question is a reflection of the person he fell in love with.
“Do you love God?” he asked.
She replied with “of course I do,” and he typed in a smiley emoticon and said “see my point?”
If you can love God without even seeing him then, what’s the difference with a person? You have to have faith in that person, true and that person’s presence should be felt.
A lot of effort has been made to make his presence felt for her and so does she. He finds himself whispering the words a quote posted by a dear friend of his back home, they never hanged-out although, they communicate through other mediums. He sees her as one of his most cherished friends.
"When you give someone your time, you are giving them a portion of your life that you'll never get back. Your time is your life. That is why the greatest gift you can give someone is your time. Relationships take time and effort, and the best way to spell love is T-I-M-E because the essence of love is not what we think or do or provide for others, but how much we give of ourselves."
That quote really hit home for him. Every time she goes online to chat with him, every time she sends him a SMS message; these are presents to him, wonderful presents handily given to him by her, the woman who inspires him to better himself all the more.
People say that long distance relationship is hard and it doesn’t work out in the end. His mind states why compare or why give into something that is thought of as in general? Sure He has known people whose long distance relationship didn’t work out but, also know people who did; his parents for one, a relative, a family friend and a close friend who will be getting married a few years from now.
They are not a couple, mind you and regardless, his feelings for her are sincere and he holds utter respect for her.
He will never ask her if they are a couple, nor will he ask if she loves him, he believes she will say those words if she felt so and on the opportune moment. He’ll never stop vying for her feelings as long as she lets him, he knows himself, he is confident in his affections towards her and he respects any decision she will make in the future. What is important for him is that she knows he loves her, without a doubt despite him saying those three words only once.
He finds himself praying that God would bless him with the right words to say as to what his heart is yearning for and, that is to say what affection he has that lies for her. In a year they will see each other face to face for the first time, and with grace, he opts that what they have would bloom to even more in the future.
